Before starting Crafitti Navneet was working as Vice-President and Head (Innovation) with Hexaware Technologies (http://www.hexaware.com) in Chennai, India. He served as Principal Consultant with Wipro Technologies (http://www.wipro.com) for more than 30 months. He was involved in imbibing new methods, methodologies and frameworks in evolving global product development and software development processes and engineering processes with a focus on improving productivity and innovation.  Before Wipro, Navneet was the CEO of CREAX Information Technologies Pvt Ltd. (http://www.creax.com), a niche Intellectual Property and Innovation consulting firm at Bangalore, India.

Navneet has worked in diverse R&D and commercial organizations such as Philips, the consumer electronics, medical and lighting global giant’ global Intellectual Property & Standards (IP&S) division, Infosys Technologies Limited and Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Government of India. Navneet has worked for more than 18 years in the fields of Patent Portfolio Management, Software Development, Management, Research and IP Analysis. He has been providing advisory and problem solving consultancy to variety of Industries in the decision engineering, Innovation, Intellectual Property and Information Technology landscape

Navneet has authored more than 40 technical research papers in various International and National Journals, Trade Magazines and Conferences. He has been an invited speaker in core technology forums, conferences and seminars and has been a regular contributor in national and international media on technology and business.

Navneet has been interviewed on India’s national television network as a patent expert and has spoken on innovation, patents, TRIZ and Strategic Decision Making in various organizations/forums such as GE Medical systems, GE Industrial Systems, ISRO, Honeywell, Wipro Technologies Limited, Philips Software center, DRDO, CII Conferences, IPv6 global summit, IISc. Navneet has conducted TRIZ, Lean and Patent based workshops for more than 500 senior and middle level executives of companies such as, Wipro, Honeywell, Infosys, Aditya Birla Group, ABB, GE, Hughes, Sharp, etc. He is the principal author of Strategic Decision Making- Applying the Analytic Hierarchy Process published by Springer-Verlag, UK, as part of the Decision Engineering Series. Karthikeyan Iyer

Before starting Crafitti, Karthik worked with Wipro Technologies (http://www.wipro.com) for close to 9 years. He spent his initial years working with clients like Nortel, Avaya and Marconi in the telecommunications software space, building and architecting solutions on circuit and packet switching technologies, protocols, system stacks and applications. He assumed a variety of technical roles ranging from systems engineer to technical consultant before moving on to consulting roles in the process and product innovation space.

As part of a central group consulting on process excellence, Karthik worked with more than 100 teams across various domains (including Banking, Testing, Transport, Telecommunications, Embedded Systems, ERP systems, Infrastructure Management etc.), facilitating Lean Thinking to beneficially impact project performance metrics like effort and schedule adherence, customer satisfaction indices, cycle times and cost savings. He mentored more than 50 Lean facilitators and conducted more than 30 workshops on Lean Thinking touching more than 1000 senior and middle level executives across the organization. He also published several internal concept notes and papers on the subject of Lean Thinking and Process Innovation.

As an Innovation Consultant in the central Innovation Group at Wipro Technologies, Karthik pioneered and proliferated the use of innovation frameworks and methodologies like TRIZ, Dependency Structure Matrices, Analytic Hierarchy Process and Blue Ocean Strategy in live business contexts, working with and mentoring multiple teams across the organization while helping them in problem definition, ideation, business strategy, solution conceptualization and decision making. He was also actively involved in Patent management, interfacing with the patent authors and the review committees to assist in patenting strategy and the study of technology evolution roadmaps. He played a leading role in creating a holistic strategy and roadmap for organization-wide innovation impacting business, technology, processes and people.

Several of Karthik’s articles and papers on innovation have been published in leading online journals. His current areas of interest include innovation culture and chaos theory, open innovation, social networks, inventive principles and technology evolution trends.
